Better Sleep Pays off with Ecotones Duet   (November 04, 2009)

CAMPBELL, Calif., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Adaptive Sound Technologies, Inc. (ASTI) announced today that it will pay cash rewards to ASTI customers who refer friends that in turn buy an Ecotones or Ecotones Duet directly from ASTI. The new "Tell-a-Friend" program rewards customers for doing what they have been doing since the first Ecotones was introduced late last year: letting friends in on the secret to better sleep.

ASTI-registered customers as of October 1, 2009 and new customers who subsequently buy directly from ASTI are enrolled in the program automatically and are sent a unique referral code shortly after their Ecotones or Ecotones Duet arrives that they can pass along to friends. For each referred friend who purchases and retains an Ecotones Adaptive Sound Machine for 30 days or more, Referrers are paid a cash reward equal to ten percent of the purchase price of the highest value unit purchased by their friend.

"We all know people who have trouble sleeping. In these difficult times, sleep problems are even worse for many people on tight budgets," said Sam Nicolino, co-founder and chief executive of Adaptive Sound Technologies. "Ecotones and Ecotones Duet are designed especially to help people sleep, and our Tell-a-Friend rewards program is designed to help everyone get a better night's sleep and supplement their holiday budgets."

Existing ASTI customers can enroll at http://www.ecotones.com. As of the effective date of the program, all customers who buy from ASTI are automatically enrolled and eligible to receive cash rewards as early as 30 days from the date they receive the Ecotones product.

Chronic insomnia and numerous sleep-related problems affect an estimated 500 million people worldwide, including 25% of Americans, according to the Centers for Disease Control. As noise pollution, urban crowding, economic and health anxieties, and general stress rise, the sleep deprived turn to over-the-counter and prescription drugs for help.

Ecotones and Ecotones Duet are non-invasive alternatives to medication. Utilizing unique and patented Adaptive Sound Technology, Ecotones products have none of the negative side-effects common with drugs, and offer superior quality sound and sound masking compared to basic white noise and sound machines.

Backed by a 30-day, money-back guarantee and a one-year limited warranty, Ecotones Duet, designed especially for help sleeping, is available now for an MSRP of $149.95. Priced at an MSRP of $299.95, Ecotones is a general- purpose sound machine designed for superior sound masking at home and work, and for help sleeping and relaxing. About Ecotones Adaptive Sound Machines

The first sound machines designed from the ground up for sleep, Ecotones products have none of the negative side-effects common with drugs, nor the limitations of basic white noise machines. Featuring a large library of long, natural sound recordings and real-time sound composition, Ecotones products use a built-in computer and microphone to continuously "listen" for intruding noises such as barking dogs, automobiles, overhead airplanes, or loud roommates. In response, Ecotones dynamically adds complementary sounds and automatically adjusts volume to offer superior sound masking for neutralizing unwanted background noise. All that's left to hear is a soothing natural sound that minimizes disruptions that disturb or interrupt sleep. As intrusive noises subside, Ecotones gradually and automatically returns to normal playback settings.

Enclosed in a case designed to produce quality sound, high-quality speakers and proprietary, natural sound recordings, Ecotones products are simply the best quality sound machines available today. A demo of Adaptive Sound is available on the web at http://ecotones.com/sound-demo.php
